UP BJP chief Pankaj Chaudhary
MORE THAN a month has passed since Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary took charge as the BJP’s Uttar Pradesh unit president but he has spent only a few days at the party headquarters in Lucknow. Chaudhary, who has been mostly travelling to different regional headquarters in the state as part of his new responsibility and to the national capital for his ministerial work, is yet to get permanent accommodation in Lucknow. During his visit to the city he stays at a government guesthouse, which gets crowded with visitors and party workers, causing inconvenience to other guests. Hence, the party is now looking for an independent residential accommodation for him where he can meet the workers.
Change on Cards
With two Army commanders scheduled to retire in the next two months, a major reshuffle in the Army top brass is on the cards. While there would be two new Army commanders, changes in key appointments at the top are also expected with multiple names making rounds in the South Block. The final decision is pending.
