Health Minister Kadavoor Sivadasan has asked Director of Medical Education M.R. Chandran to file a report on the protocol followed in treating Governor Sikander Bakht at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.

8216;8216;We provided the best treatment to the Governor at the MCH. The surgery was performed by the best team of doctors,8217;8217; Kadavoor said. Even experts from Apollo Hospital had agreed on the treatment protocol followed at MCH, he said.

Kadavoor said Bakht8217;s family was satisfied with the treatment and had thanked the state government. He added, however, that the report has been sought to ensure there were no lapses in providing facilities to the Governor. 8216;8216;We decided to ask for a report because a section of the media tried to rake up a controversy,8217;8217; Kadavoor said. The DME has been asked to submit the report by tomorrow.

BJP state chief P.S. Sreedharan Pillai had alleged medical negligence at MCH could have led to Bakht8217;s death.
