KURUKSHETRA, Dec 20: A local court has rejected the bail application of Vashudev Sharma, an accused in the Green Gold Plantation cheating case.
Sharma is already under judicial custody. The court also remanded Krishan Kant Chauhan and Major Retd Manjit Singh 8212; the two other accused 8212; to policy custody.
A criminal case was registered against the functionaries of the SPG Green Gold Plantation Company on the complaint of an employee of the company in Kurukshetra. The district police arrested three functionaries of the 12 members of the board of directors of the company.
The police are investigating the cheating of lakhs of rupees of the investors. DSP Yashpal Sharma said the police have obtained an arrest warrant for Satya Dev Sharma, the chairman and managing director of the company. The police are searching for Nivodita, manager of the HRD section of the company, and Kamlesh Sharma, Satya Dev Sharma8217;s wife.
Raiding parties have been dispatched to arrest the accused, he said.
