Bail for chain snatchers

CHANDIGARH, Oct 21: Two Gurdaspur engineering students, who were arrested on October 17 on charges of chain snatching, were bailed out here by UT Judicial Magistrate Ist Class Mahender Singh. Accused Devinder Singh, a Roopnagar resident, and Nitin, a Haridwar resident, were asked to furnish bail bonds in the sum of Rs 50,000 each, along with a surety each in the like amount. They were arrested on allegations that they tried to snatch a gold chain from a woman in Sector 37.
