
CALCUTTA, NOV 13: Two matches in Group B of the IFA Shield are scheduled for tomorrow. While the crucial Mohun Bagan-Bengal Mumbai Football Club BMFC match will be held at the Salt Lake Stadium, Mohammedan Sporting will take on Air Force team of Thailand at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium.
Bagan have two points from the only match they have played against Sporting while BMFC have three points from a win and a draw. Sporting, after playing two games have a point while Air Force, stunned by BMFC, are yet to open their account. In spite of the statistics, the group is very much open. Two teams will make the semi-finals from this group. An unlikely Sporting victory over Air Force will put them in a strong position.In the other match, a draw would see BMFC into the next stage.
Bagan will have to watch out for the two TFA boys, Sheikh Sanjib and James Singh. With Alok Das striking form, the BMFC skipper will also figure in the Bagan camp8217;s pre-match discussion. Bagan will continue to miss IM Vijayan who iscurrently at the National camp. Goalkeeper Hemant Dora is yet to recover from injury and central defender Samuel Omollo is unsure.
