Badal8217;s resignation demanded

PATIALA, Dec 18: The Punjab Vikas Party has demanded the resignation of the state government led by Parkash Singh Badal alleging that due to the internal fighting of Shiromani Akali Dal, the peaceful atmosphere of the state might be affected again.

In a statement here today, convenor of the party Gopal Krishan Kashayap said that due to the fued between Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and president of the SGPC Gurcharan Singh Tohra, the working in the offices of the state government has has come to a standstill. He appealed to the Governor to intervene into the matter because the state government has failed to fulfill its commitments towards the public.
