Ayush, Shantanu enter sub-jr final

NEW DELHI, October 13: Ayush Jiwarajika and Shantanu Aggarwal entered in the finals of sub-junior boys event in the Coca-Cola 60th Delhi State Table Tennis Championships. In the quarter-finals Ayush Jiwarajika beat Sunal Jain while Shantanu Aggarwal defated Kunal Puri 21-15, 21-13 and 23-21, 21-15 respectively. In other two quarter-finals, Nishank Bajaj managed to win over Ayush Gupta while Aditya Puri defeated Ashish Duklan.

In the boys quarter-finals Rajat Chopra of Hans Raj Model School upset top-seed Andh Adlakha 13-21, 21-18, 21-17, 19-21, 21-18.

V K Bawa triumphs: V K Bawa of Engineers India won the veterans singles final beating P P Manchanda 14-21, 22-20, 21-19. In the semifinal earlier, Bawa had beaten Anand Prakash of Indian Airlines, also in three games.
