
A city-based Internet firm, Priya Informatics, which provides online reference materials to Secondary School Certificate Examination students has recently announced that they are giving awards to three teachers from the state who have implemented innovative teaching techniques.
Prakash Kanade, director of Priya Informatics said, 8220;There are many teachers who come up with new teaching techniques, which get unnoticed. We invite such projects from them irrespective of their medium, region or subject. A panel of educationists will adjudge three best projects that will be posted on myssc.in, its website free of cost.8221;
The last date for sending entries is December 31. The firm is also holding an online quiz competition for students of standard IX and X to make them acquainted with the applications of Internet.
8220;There will be a set of 20 multiple choice questions to each student based on their syllabus.
Students will have to register at myssc.in for the competition to be held between December 15 and 31,8221; Kanade said. The first rankers from both standards will get a mobile phone with camera and radio, the runners up will get MP3 players and there are 10 consolation prizes too.
The organisers have approached 700 schools in Pune and Mumbai, added Kanade.
