Assam has asked for additional security forces for the forthcoming National Games scheduled to be held in the state from February 9 to 18 next year following the boycott call given by banned outfit ULFA.

Assam has asked for additional security forces for the forthcoming National Games scheduled to be held in the state from February 9 to 18 next year following the boycott call given by banned outfit ULFA.

After giving a power point present presentation to the Indian Olympic Committee on Wednesday on the state of infrastructure for the event, CM Tarun Gogoi told reporters that the Centre has agreed to offer full assistance and that Home Secretary V K Duggal would be visiting the state for a review of security arrangements later this month.
