CHANDIGARH, Aug 4: The Arun Memorial Punjab State Sub-Junior and Veteran Badminton Championships will be held at Amristar from August 17 to 21, according to Rajan Kumar, secretary of the District Badminton Association.

Competitions will be held in the age groups of under-10, under-13 and under-16, both boys and girls. Entry closes with Secretary, Punjab Badminton Association at Jalandhar. According to Romi, the Punjab teams for participation in the Mini Nationals being held at Vijaywada will be selected on the basis of performance in the Amritsar meet. The Amritsar meet is being conducted in memory of Arun Khanna, a well known badminton player of Amristar.
