The Creators display their expressions of the known 038; the unknown

Individuals they are and that is what their works display. Eight artists of the group The Creators, share a common love for art and individuality, the reason why hours spent together bring out only the best in them. They bring to town an exhibition of their expression carved in wood, oil, pastels and mix media. HS Purewal paints life8217;s happiness and liveliness in bright reds. Be it the spiritual monks or the women of Rajasthan, or his wife looking up at the moon, beauty lies everywhere. BC Prasad explores the contemporary life and makes subtle comments on the life as he sees it, be it the cramped locals or terrorism. The unconscious finds a form on the canvas of Raj Gopal Sharma. A dream-like atmosphere rules the canvas as there are no concrete forms or movement. Portraits and florals are what Ram Binod enjoys the most. Familiar faces, those of his daughter, mother and wife, his favourite scenes 8212; landscapes of florals, exhibit his closeness to the freedom that nature gives him. KN Anand gives a wooden shape in sheesham to his perception of Ganesha, Trinity, Rhythm, Nandi et al. Jujhar Singh exhibits miniature murals and paintings of nature blended with geometrics. Sanjay Dhawan creates Earth, Horizon, Universe and Moon Phase in oil and Dalvinder Singh paints cityscapes of Chandigarh.

On at Government Museum and Art Gallery till October 19.<./i>
