North Western Railway Highest Revenue Generating Stations: North Western Railway (NWR) is one of the important zones of Indian Railways (IR), established on October 1, 2002. The zone was carved out by reorganising two divisions each from the Northern Railway and Western Railway. Comprising four divisions: Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur, and Jodhpur, the NWR operates over 570 stations across a network spanning more than 6,550 route kilometres.

Divisions of North Western Railway

Jaipur Division

The Jaipur division was formed after merging parts of BB&CI, Jaipur State Railways and Rajputana Malwa Railway, Jaipur Division serves the states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

Bikaner Division

Establised in 1924, the Bikaner Division serves the states of Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana. This division has an equal amount of passenger and goods traffic.

Jodhpur Division

The Jodhpur division was up in the year 1882 and it consists primarily of semi–urban districts of Rajasthan. It covers areas of Jodhpur, Pali Marwar, Nagaur Jalore, Barmer, Jaisalmer. It also covers certain districts of Gujarat state.

Ajmer Division

The Ajmer division is spread over the states of Rajasthan and Gujarat. This division is prominent on the religious and tourist map of India as it witnesses large amount of passenger traffic to Ajmer Sharief, Pushkar, Jain Temples Dilwara at Mount Abu and Ranakpur Temples.

Most revenue generating railway stations under NWR

Speaking to Indianexpress.com, Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of the North Western Railway (NWR), said that Jaipur Junction emerged as the highest revenue-generating station under NWR between April 1, 2025, and November 30, 2025. The station earned a total revenue of Rs 5,80,83,38,376 from both the Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) and the Passenger Reservation System (PRS).

Jaipur Junction was followed by Ajmer Junction with revenue of Rs 2,44,93,47,426, Jodhpur Junction at Rs 2,40,13,02,394, Udaipur City with Rs 1,06,54,23,652, and Bikaner Junction earning Rs 95,15,52,016.

Other stations in the top revenue list include Ringus Junction (Rs 55,81,20,689), Abu Road (Rs 46,23,04,249), Rewari Junction (Rs 43,43,55,200), Alwar Junction (Rs 36,85,91,458) and Bhilwara (Rs 35,31,35,283).
