Another TV channel gets notice

The I&B Ministry has issued a show-cause notice to Hindi news channel Aaj Tak over a ‘misleading’ report aired during their coverage of the Mumbai terror attacks. Sources in the ministry confirmed the notice was issued over the nature of the channel’s coverage on the terror attacks. This is the second news channel to get a notice served on its Mumbai attacks coverage. Earlier, the ministry had issued a similar notice to India TV for airing a conversation between two terrorists. This newspaper had reported that more channels could come in the firing line for their coverage and more show-cause notices may be in the offing.
