AHMEDABAD, Aug 5: The city police on Wednesday recovered yet another unidentified body of a 17-year-old girl from the ground near ST workshop in Shahwadi area near Narol.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone VI, M D Antani, said the body was found in a gunny bag on Wednesday afternoon. He said the body was badly decomposed, making identification difficult.

Primary examination revealed the girl had been murdered and the body abandoned about 10 days ago.

Antani said the badly decomposed condition of the body made it difficult to identify the sex, but the clothes indicated it was a female.

According to the DCP, there was a possibility that the girl was not a local. Even the dog squad rushed to the site had drawn a blank, he said. Since it had recently rained, police failed to make any headway either.

He said investigations had been launched and the police were moving around in nearby areas for clues.

Forensic science experts had also visited the site and are assisting the police in investigation. This is the fifth body that has been recovered in recent months.
