Another Armyman commits suicide

Another Armyman committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle at nearby Ratnuchak camp on Monday night.

Identified as rifleman Vishnu Pratap Singh of Rajputana Rifles, the deceased hailed from Bhind in Madhya Pradesh. The 21-year-old soldier was unmarried and had returned last week from home after a short leave.

Sources said that the deceased was on duty at a sentry post when around 10 pm, three gun shots from there created panic in the Army camp. However, a few minutes later, when other Armymen, including senior officers rushed there, they found the rifleman lying dead in a pool of blood.
