
Viswanathan Anand starts as the second seed behind world champion Veselin Topalov of Bulgaria in the second edition of the MTEL Masters Super tournament.
At 2803 ELO rating points, Anand will look forward to becoming the top rated player in the world for which he will have to finish higher than Topalov who is currently the No 1 ranked player on 2804 points.
Like last year, the event will be a double round robin contest between six players. Apart from Anand and Topalov, reputed Grandmasters like Peter Svidler of Russia, former world champion Ruslan Ponomariov of Ukraine, Etienne Bacrot of France and Gata Kamsky of United States are the other participants in the 10-round tournament.
