NEW DELHI, April 19: A 48-year-old commission agent P C Mittal, who allegedly diverted a consignment of wheat worth Rs 48 lakh meant for export last year, was arrested by the Crime Branch of the Delhi police on Saturday.

Mittal, acting as agent for a Delhi export firm, Priyanka Overseas, re-routed 7,600 sacks of wheat worth Rs 48 lakh from Punjab to South Africa to K S Oil Company 8211; another export firm. When the South African party said they had not received the consignment, Priyanka registered a complaint at Connaught Place police station and the case was handed over to Crime Branch.
