240 liquor bottles seized

Chandigarh, Aug 31: In a major raid here today, the Crime Branch of the city police seized 240 bottles of Indian made foreign liquor from Bapu Dham colony. It was found dumped in a jhuggi in the colony. The police have arrested one Prem under the Excise Act. Sources indicated the involvement of area police. More arrests are expected, added the police.

The seizure assumes significance in view of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
