2 docs held in separate incidents

MUMBAI, Oct 27: The police have arrested a doctor for unwittingly administering an injection which killed a youth in Mulund last evening.

Sanjay Rathod 21, a resident of Shankar Tekdi, Mulund Colony, approached Dr Nirmalsingh Rajendrasingh Gill with a vial of Tracrium8217; which he wanted Gill to inject him. The doctor, without ascertaining the vial8217;s content, administered the injection. Moments later, Rathod felt giddy and died.

Police said that Rathod was not sick but a friend had recommended the drug for vitality. In another case, Agripada police arrested Dr Nazneen in a case of dowry death on Tuesday. Alimunnisa 23 died on October 22. Police said she was ill-treated by her mother-in-law Hanifa, sister-in-law Dr Nazneen and brother Imran.
