NEW DELHI, June 10: Fourteen candidates were elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from different States on the last date for withdrawal of nominations today. Tamil Maanila Congress President GK Moopanar and five DMK candidates were declared elected to the RS from Tamil Nadu.

Others are V Virumbi, former RS member, S Agniraj, M Sankaralingam, S Sivasubramaiam and MA Khader. In Punjab, both the Akali candidates, Raj Mohinder Singh and Sukhdev Singh Libra, were declared elected unopposed.

In MP, three Congmen and two BJP men were declared elected unopposed. The are Balkavi Bairagi, Jhumuk Lal Bhedia and Mobel Rebello all Congress, and O Rajagopal and Dilip Singh Judeo both BJP. In Bihar, RJD leader Ramdeo Bhandari was declared elected unopposed in the bypoll to the lone RS seat. He was the only candidate for the seat which fell vacant following the death of Gyan Ranjan Congress.
