A study by Jeevansathi.com shows that there are a considerable number of single/divorced/ widowed Indian women who are open to start their life afresh at the age of 50 and above.

A study by Jeevansathi.com shows that there are a considerable number of single/divorced/ widowed Indian women who are open to start their life afresh at the age of 50 and above. Interestingly,70% of these profiles on the site are posted by the individual herself and 10% of them are posted by a relative or a friend. This clearly shows that the social taboo of late marriage and remarriages is wearing away slowly.

A look at the demographics of the profiles shows that 60% of these profiles are women who are based in India, while 40% of them are NRI’s. 68% of the women who have posted their profiles have been married earlier and look to find matches with similar backgrounds.

Commenting on the same Rohit Manghnani,Business Head,Jeevansathi, com said “ With changing times people are more willing to accept the concept of second marriages. Matrimonial sites are therefore the perfect destination for mature couples to find their partners which match their choice and demands along with maintaining the desired privacy of information flow.”
