We all love sculpted cheekbones as they contribute to a more defined and youthful appearance. While there are various methods to achieve this, one increasingly popular approach is face yoga. Face yoga exercises, which target specific facial muscles including those around our cheeks, are considered helpful for toning and strengthening the cheekbones.
As such, television presenter Roshni Chopra took to Instagram to share a face yoga exercise that can help with sculpted cheekbones. Alongside a video of her demonstrating this exercise, she wrote: “This one’s for those sculpted cheeks. Rather than do a full routine, I find it easier to learn each technique separately and then practise them whenever I have time – this one is so easy to do in the car or just before an event!”
Here’s how you can perform this exercise:

*Make a fish face and look up to the side. “Don’t worry about how funny it looks,” Roshni said.
*Look towards the sky for 10-15 seconds.
*Repeat on the other side.
*Practise daily for two minutes to see a difference.
Dr Narendra Shetty, Chief Wellness Officer At Kshemavana, said that face yoga is a natural practice that involves a series of facial exercises and techniques aimed at improving the appearance and health of the face. “It is sometimes referred to as facial yoga or facial exercises. Similar to how yoga targets various muscles and body parts to improve strength and flexibility, face yoga focuses specifically on the muscles of the face, neck, and scalp,” he said.
He added that face yoga addresses various needs, including facial muscle toning, wrinkle reduction, relaxation and stress relief, lymphatic drainage, improved facial glow, and symmetry. “It involves exercises, massages, and relaxation techniques to promote a toned and rejuvenated appearance. While results may vary, regular practice of face yoga can potentially enhance facial contour, reduce wrinkles, relieve stress, promote lymphatic drainage, improve skin radiance, and restore facial balance.”
While face yoga has gained popularity in recent years, it is important to note that scientific research supporting its effectiveness is limited, Dr Shetty said. “The impact of face yoga on facial appearance and skin health may vary among individuals. It is always advisable to consult with a qualified professional or dermatologist before starting any new facial exercise regimen to ensure it is suitable for your specific needs and goals,” he said, sharing some exercises that target the facial muscles and promote a toned appearance.

“When performing these workouts, keep in mind that consistency is essential. For noticeable benefits, try to do them at least three times a week.
