Prime Minister Narendra Modi put a spotlight on India’s artisanal legacy through the gifts he picked for the global leaders during his three-nation tour.

The prime minister embarked on his official tour on Sunday (June 15) and made his first stop at Cyprus.

After concluding his visit, he departed for Canada, where he attended the 51st G7 Summit in Kananaskis, Alberta, on Tuesday (June 17).

He held key bilateral talks with several leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Italian PM Giorgia Meloni, Australian PM Anthony Albanese, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Japanese PM Shigeru Ishiba, Brazilian President Lula da Silva, EU Commission President and European Council President.

He also held meetings with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and Korean PM Lee Jae-myung for the first time.

The final leg of his tour took PM Modi to Croatia, marking a milestone as the first-ever visit by an Indian Prime Minister.

The sculpture, from Bihar, holds spiritual significance as it showcases the Bodhi Tree where Gautama Buddha found enlightenment in Bodh Gaya.

– Warli painting to the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo

Hailing from Maharashtra’s Warli community, this traditional tribal art is an expression of Indian folk heritage.

A timeless piece from Odisha, the accessory showcases the region’s famous traditional craft called Tarakasi.

Hailing from Tamil Nadu, the sculpture showcasing Nandi, the sacred bull and companion of Lord Shiva, is a mix of traditional metal craft and spiritual art.

– Sandstone replica of Konark Wheel to Chancellor of Germany, Friedrich Merz

The piece is inspired by the famous Sun Temple at Konark.

The intricate designs draw attention to Maharashtra’s Kolhapur, which is known for its rich tradition of silver craftsmanship.

The handmade piece from Meghalaya is made from natural materials like cane and bamboo.

– Brass dokra horse to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa
