JALANDHAR: The America India Foundation a non-profit US organisation devoted to accelerating social and economic change in India has decided to train Class IX and X teachers in Punjab. In this regard,a multiple training project is being launched for teachers to be trained by the foundations trainers. The training will include empowerment of teachers and development of their professional skills needed for effective classroom teachings.
AG office moved to Himachal Bhawan
SHIMLA: Within days of abolition of the legal cell office in New Delhi,the advocate general (AG) office has started functioning from the Himachal Bhawan in the national capital. A government release said Additional Advocate General Suryanarayan Singh will head the office with the deputy advocate general.
HC judge inspects monthly lok adalat
BATHINDA: Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice Jitendra Chauhan on Saturday visited the Bathinda sessions division to inspect the monthly lok adalat. In the monthly lok adalat held on Saturday,3,163 cases were taken up. Among these,3,020 cases were disposed off by a total of 18 benches. Addressing the media,Chauhan said the purpose of holding lok adalats is to provide speedy justice.
