Sukhu hints at major changes in set-up

Himachal PCC president Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu Saturday hinted at major changes in the PCC’s organisational set-up besides a complete revamp of the district Congress bodies to make the party fully fit for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Resuming his districts tours after having been made full-fledged state Congress Chief Sukhu,who was in Solan,re-invoked his ‘zero-tolerance’ theory in cases of corruption and crime against women. He also asked party workers to keep government servants under watch to check corruption.

“Congressmen are duty bound to report to PCC or DCC if they find any officer or government servant —holding key position — indulging in corrupt practices. It’s necessary to provide a clean and transparent government to the people who have voted the Congress back to power to relieve them of BJP’s corruption,” Sukhu said while addressing the DCC meeting.

The PCC chief also asserted that full discipline among party ranks will be ensured through zero-tolerance of corruption and criminalisation of politics.

Sukhu also attacked former BJP minister,now Nahan MLA,Rajeev Bindal for his role in land deals in Solan. Sukhu said the government will enquire into all scams of the BJP. “There have been reports about Bindal being behind some of the land deals in Solan,” he added.
