In the wake of singer Kailash Kher’s live performance in Haryana’s Panchkula on Wednesday, the Panchkula Traffic Police have issued a detailed traffic advisory to ensure smooth movement around the venue on Christmas Eve. The concert is scheduled to begin at 6 pm at Shalimar Ground, Sector 5, Panchkula.

According to the advisory, entry for music lovers attending the programme has been earmarked from the back side of Shalimar Ground, near the Night Food Market. Visitors have been urged to strictly follow the designated entry points to avoid congestion and inconvenience.

For those arriving by private vehicles, parking has been arranged at the showroom parking lot near the Night Food Market and at the Sector-5 protest site, the police said.

The police have advised motorists to park only at notified locations and avoid roadside parking. Specific routes have been suggested for commuters to facilitate smooth access to the venue. Vehicles coming from the Majri Chowk side are advised to reach Shalimar Ground via Belavista rounabout, using the slip road towards Sector-5 protest site.

Meanwhile, motorists approaching from the Chandigarh side should take the route via Housing Board, Sector 17/18 Chowk, Sector 11/15 Chowk, Tawa Chowk, and then proceed towards Belavista Chowk, said a traffic police officer.

The traffic police have appealed to the public to adhere to the prescribed routes and parking arrangements, follow on-ground instructions issued by traffic personnel, and cooperate in maintaining orderly traffic conditions during the event.

The advisory has been issued in the interest of public safety and convenience, considering the large turnout expected for the live musical evening, said a police officer.
