Union Minister Ramvilas Paswan who prefers not to carry a mobile and is not known to be tech-savvy, is the latest to join the social media. Joining a couple of days ago, Paswan’s first follower on Twitter was his son Chirag. Paswan Sr soon became active on the digital space by live-tweeting the inaugural of the national conference of state food ministers called by his ministry on Thursday.

NEW METRO MAN
After writing to his Cabinet colleagues urging them to use the Delhi Metro while travelling within the city, Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu will soon write to all Members of Parliament to follow the same practice. He is, however, not sure if ministers and MPs would give much heed to his advice. He is, therefore, planning to clarify that if it is not feasible to travel by Metro within the city, ministers and MPs should at least follow the practice while coming from and going to the IGI Airport.

Even as a controversy raged over the promotion of Hindi in official correspondence, file notings, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan appeared to have chosen to clear his stand on this issue in a subtle fashion. SURVIVING CHANGE
The Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fellows scheme, initiated by the previous UPA government, is likely to survive the regime change. It is unlikely to be scrapped or modified by the new government as some had feared. The ministry will continue implementing the scheme in tandem with state governments. In fact, the late Gopinath Munde had planned an interaction with the Fellows and even fixed a date for it.
