Three arrested for tiger-poaching

The Forest Department has arrested three persons in connection with tiger poaching in Chandrapur district in April.

The Forest Department has arrested three persons in connection with tiger poaching in Chandrapur district in April.

Two tigers were found stuck in deadly steel jaw-traps in Gondmohadi beat of Palasgaon range (120 km from here) in April. One of the beasts died,while the other suffered injuries.

The officials had arrested Tanoji Hanvate and Motiram Dadmal,residents of village Deori in Chimur tehsil,on September 3 on charges of setting wire-snares on their farms to trap animals damaging crops.
