
The BJP-led NDA steamrolled the opposition in the Bihar Assembly Election Results 2025 announced on Friday, November 14. The BJP is on track to be the single-largest party in Bihar, winning 39 seats while leading in another 51, according to the ECI data.
BJP’s alliance partner, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) (JDU) is close behind, with wins in 28 seats and leading in another 55.
The Mahagathbandhan collapsed at the polling booths, with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on track to win fewer than 30 seats and Congress likely to settle for single digits.
However, the standout has been the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), which, according to the ECI data, has won four seats and is leading in another.
AIMIM candidates won in Jokihat, Bahadurgan, Kochadhaman, and Amour.
The AIMIM had contested 25 seats in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections and had a vote share of 1.9 per cent.
The AIMIM had contested in 21 seats as part of the Grand Democratic Secular Front coalition in the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections and won Amour, Baisi, Jokihat, Kochadhaman, and Bahadurgan.
In the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections, AIMIM contested on its own after seat-sharing talks with the INDIA bloc collapsed.
Following this, Asaduddin Owaisi announced that AIMIM will contest 100 seats in Bihar, but eventually the party fielded 25 candidates, including two non-Muslims.
