Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) handled over 48.88 lakh passengers in November 2025, recording its highest-ever single-day passenger traffic during the month, according to airport data.
The airport registered a record 1.76 lakh passengers on November 29, marking the highest single-day footfall in its history. Two other days on November 15th and 22nd also crossed 1.72 lakh passengers, making November the month with the airport’s top three single-day traffic figures.
In total, CSMIA managed around 27,960 air traffic movements during the month. Of the total passenger volume, over 3.4 million were domestic travellers, while more than 1.4 million passengers used international routes, driven by festive and winter travel demand.

Among international destinations, Dubai emerged as the busiest route in November with 2,09,714 passengers, followed by London Heathrow (1,12,043) and Abu Dhabi (1,00,284). On the domestic network, Delhi remained the busiest sector with 6,09,646 passengers, followed by Bengaluru (4,36,301) and Chennai (2,07,692).
On the record traffic day of November 29, international routes with the highest passenger volumes included Dubai, London Heathrow, Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Doha, while domestic demand was led by Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad.
Airport officials attributed the traffic levels to seasonal travel demand and sustained connectivity across domestic and international sectors.
