Puri Jagannath Rath Yatra Bank Holiday in India 2025: According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) 2025 holiday calendar, public-sector banks (PSBs) and private banking institutions in a few Indian cities will be closed on Friday, June 27, on account of Kang and with Jagannath Rath Yatra commencing today.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) determines bank holidays in India based on the Negotiable Instruments Act, including RTGS holidays and other regional and national holidays. Banks are also closed on the mandated weekly days off, which are the second Saturday and Sunday of each month.

According to the RBI calendar for fiscal year 2025, 12 bank holidays have been scheduled for June 2025.
