Lok Sabha Election 2024: The General Elections 2024 in India, scheduled from April 19th to June 1st, 2024, are set to elect the members of the 18th Lok Sabha in India. Recently, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar announced the poll schedule for the Lok Sabha election to elect 543 members.
In a news conference on Saturday, he stated that there are over 97 crore eligible voters, out of which 49.7 crore are male and 47.1 crore are female, and the voters can cast their votes across 10.5 lakh polling booths.

So, to streamline the process for voters, the National Voter’s Service Portal (NVSP) provides online services for checking and updating voter information.
Here’s a step-by-step process for finding one’s name on the voters’ list for the Lok Sabha Election 2024:
One can search for their name on the voters’ list for the Lok Sabha Election 2024 through text messages.
Step 1: Directly SMS or visit to the Official Website
Visit elections24.eci.gov.in or go to the official NVSP website, a comprehensive platform that provides various services related to voter registration and information.: https://www.nvsp.in/or https://voters.eci.gov.in/.
Click on the option ‘Search in the Electoral Roll‘.
One will have multiple options to search for the name:
Option 1: Search by Details
Select ‘Search by Details’.
Enter your details, such as name, father’s or husband’s name, age, date of birth, gender, state, district, and assembly constituency.
Click on ‘Search.’
Option 2: Search by EPIC Number
Select ‘Search by EPIC No.’
Enter your EPIC (Elector’s Photo Identity Card) number and select the state.
Click on ‘Search’.
Option 3: Search by Mobile Number
Select ‘Search by ‘Mobile Number.’
Add details like State, Language, mobile number and captcha code
Enter the OTP and ‘Search.’
Step 4: Check the search results.
If your details are correct and you are eligible to vote, your name should appear in the search results.
Click on your name to view detailed information, such as your polling station and part number.
Step 5: Verify Your Details
Once you find your name, verify that all the details listed are correct, including your name, age, gender, and address.
Step 6: Note Down Important Details
Note down your part number, serial number, and polling station, as these details will be required on the day of voting.
Step 7: Contact the Electoral Office (if necessary).
If you cannot find your name or if there are any discrepancies in your details, contact your nearest Electoral Registration Office (ERO) or visit the official website of your state’s Chief Electoral Officer for assistance.
