Did the controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent lead Indian cricketer Virat Kohli to unfollow YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, on Instagram? Netizens have been sharing screenshots suggesting that Virat, who previously followed Ranveer, no longer follows Ranveer on the social media platform. This development comes at a difficult time for the YouTuber, who has become the subject of a Mumbai police probe for the allegedly obscene comments he made during a guest appearance on the YouTube show India’s Got Latent.

It remains unclear whether Virat unfollowed Ranveer before or after the India’s Got Latent controversy. However, netizens have been discussing Ranveer’s admiration for Virat, as he has often expressed being a huge fan of the cricketer.

In an old podcast with ANI, Ranveer Allahbadia was asked about that one person he wants to have on his show The Ranveer Show. The YouTuber had shared, “It’s just Virat Kohli. When I get Virat Kohli, I will begin.” The interviewer interrupted him to ask, “You’ve done Virat Kohli haven’t you?” Ranveer said, “I’ve not had him on the show…I’ve met him.”

“Oh my God you’ve spoken about him so much I thought you’ve done a Virat Kohli podcast” added the interview.

Ranveer Allahbadia further said, “I have not done Sachin as well. I love Sachin as well. I think I might fanboy when he’s in front of me as well. I’ve really tracked Virat Kohli’s journey since I was a 12-13 year old when he played in the under-19 team. I remember seeing him win the under-19 World Cup and going to my mom and telling her that there’s something about this guy I don’t know what it is. He’s going to make it big.”

He added, “I’ve seen like almost every innings of his, especially from his early career. That person has had a big impact on my own life and I literally am doing my podcast to be able to be in the same room as him.”
Talking to the camera, Ranveer shared, “But I’m genuinely running the show at this point to get you Virat Kohli on my show.”
