Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan pose in epic ‘Mega Family’ picture on Makar Sankranti
This year's Makar Sankranti celebration in the Allu-Konidela family was particularly grand with nearly all members, including Chiranjeevi, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan and Varun Tej, in attendance.

The festival of Makar Sankranti, known by various names in different states, holds significance as an auspicious occasion for practising Hindus in the country. Typically occurring on January 14 (January 15 in a leap year), this day signifies a crucial juncture in both astronomical and agricultural cycles. Devotees take the opportunity to worship and seek blessings from Lord Surya as the sun enters Makara (Capricorn), followed by joyful celebrations.
The Allu–Konidela family also observes Makar Sankranti annually, bringing together all members to partake in the festivities of the harvest festival. This year’s celebration was particularly grand with nearly all members in attendance.
Now, a recently surfaced photo from their gathering has generated enthusiastic responses from fans. In the image, the Allu-Konidelas, spanning from senior family members to the youngest kids, stand dressed in traditional attire against the backdrop of an adorned house in Bengaluru. Men, including Chiranjeevi, Naga Babu, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan and Varun Tej, opted for kurta-pyjama, while women, including Upasana Kamineni, Sneha Reddy, Niharika Konidela and Lavanya Tripathi, donned red dresses, radiantly smiling for the picture. Notably, Chiranjeevi’s younger brother and Telugu star Pawan Kalyan couldn’t attend the celebrations reportedly due to political commitments.
The photo captures Chiranjeevi standing at the top centre, arm around his wife Surekha, with Ram Charan seated just below, alongside his wife Upasana and their daughter Klin Kaara. In the same row, Allu Arjun is seen posing beside his wife Sneha. The picture gained additional attention as Ram Charan’s dog Rhyme also made an appearance.

Meanwhile, Upasana Kamineni posted the same photo on her Instagram, along with another capturing an adorable moment between her and husband Ram Charan in the early morning. In the image, Upasana is hugging Charan from behind while they watch the kids play with their dog Rhyme.
