Bhagyashri Borse hints at being part of VD 12, Vijay Deverakonda’s next with Gowtam Tinnanuri

Although the makers of VD 12 have remained tight-lipped about any updates, including the look of Vijay Deverakonda or the other cast members, it is raining ‘unofficial’ updates from the film

The makers of Vijay Deverakonda’s next with Gowtam Tinnanuri, tentatively titled VD 12, are unable to catch a break from inadvertent leaks. Although they have remained tight-lipped about any updates from the film, including the look of Vijay or the other cast members, it is raining ‘unofficial’ updates from the film. The latest is that Bhagyashri Borse, who is set to make her Telugu debut with Ravi Teja’s Mr Bachchan, is paired alongside Vijay in this film.

Interestingly, this update is courtesy an Instagram post by Bhagyashri where a tongue-in-cheek photo about shooting fatigue and her love for the camera had the location as ‘Colombo, Sri Lanka.’ Incidentally, according to the latest update by the makers, Sithara Entertainments, VD 12 is currently being shot in Sri Lanka. So, it is safe to assume that the earlier speculations of Bhagyashri being cast in VD 12 is true, and it is just a matter of time before they make the official announcement.

Earlier this week, there were leaked images of Vijay from the shooting spot doing the rounds on social media. He had a close-shaven hairdo and a rugged beard in the looks that were leaked. With the launch poster of the film featuring a cop in silhouette, and the words of an ‘anonymous spy’, “Don’t know where I belong, to tell you whom I betrayed,” to go with it, it is even more intriguing to see Vijay’s new look for the film.

Here’s what Sithara Entertainments shared to urge fans to not reveal the leaked images. “We share your excitement and enthusiasm! Team #VD12 is working very hard to bring you an unforgettable theatrical experience. Till date, we have completed 60 per cent of the shoot and are currently filming in Sri Lanka. For the past six months, we have been keeping details under wraps, preserving the first look for a red hot official unveiling, we kindly ask you to refrain from sharing leaks and wait for the official announcement, coming very soon (sic).”

Slated for a 2025 release, VD 12 will have music by Anirudh Ravichander, who has previously worked with Gowtam in Jersey, and is collaborating for the first time with Vijay. Co-produced by Fortune Four Cinemas and presented by Srikara Studios, VD 12 is shot by Girish Gangadharan and edited by Navin Nooli.
