Allu Arjun thanks his Kerala fans for being his first army: ‘Peelings from Pushpa 2 is to show my love for you’

Speaking about the relentless support he has received from the Malayalam audience for two decades, Allu Arjun said that it is this love that prompted him to call up composer Devi Sri Prasad with a unique request. “I told him that we must do a song that would show my love for my Kerala audience. The song, Peelings, starts off with Malayalam verses, and I assure you that these verses will be retained in all six languages the film is releasing. This is just to show my love for you.”  

The Pushpa actor also shared another reason why he holds the Malayali fans close to his heart. “You know, why do I call my fans an army? It is because of the Kerala fans. You started this trend and I got inspired from you and it has become such a phenomenon today. So, thank you for giving me that,” said Allu Arjun.

The much-awaited multi-starrer featuring the likes of Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Dhananjaya, Ajay Ghosh, and Prathap Bhandari is expected to create box-office records all across the world. With the film expected to open in over 11000 screens worldwide, it is one of the widest releases of 2024, and is expected to be Allu Arjun’s debut in the coveted Rs 1000 crore club. Mythri Movie Makers, who have pumped in almost Rs 400-500 crore into Pushpa 2, are expecting the film to open up new markets.

Pushpa 2 Release date

Pushpa 2: The Rule, which has songs composed by Devi Sri Prasad, and an ambiguous cloud hanging over the credits for the background score, will be released in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali and Hindi on December 5.
