Allu Arjun heaps praise on Pushpa 2 co-star Fahadh Faasil at Kochi pre-release event: ‘Fafa would make every Keralite proud’
At the pre-release event in Kochi, Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun promised the audience that they are in for a treat as Fahadh Faasil has delivered a knock-out performance in the sequel.

What makes Pushpa one of the most interesting characters of Indian cinema in recent times is because he had a worthy adversary in Bhanwar Singh Shekawat. An antagonist who managed to bring out the core conflict in Pushpa’s character arc. It wasn’t about the red sandalwood or buying a car or marrying Srivalli or becoming the alpha in the smuggling syndicate. It was all about the ‘brand’ and it is Fahadh Faasil’s last-minute entry into the world of Pushpa: The Rise that set the stage for Pushpa 2: The Rule. Although we only saw glimpses of the showdown between Allu Arjun and Fahadh in the first part, it is expected that the second part will be centred around these two hot-headed characters.
Talking at the press meet in Kochi, ahead of the release of Pushpa 2: The Rule, Allu Arjun shared that he missed Fahadh Faasil in the Kerala leg of the promotional drive for the Sukumar directorial. “This film is special for many reasons. This is the first time I have worked with one of the biggest Malayalam actors… Fahadh Faasil,” said the actor, adding, “I miss seeing him today. I wish we were both here today. It would have been an iconic thing.”
Allu Arjun reiterated that it would have indeed been a special moment to have Fahadh Faasil share the stage with him in Kerala. However, it is known that Fahadh is quite reticent when it comes to promotional activities. Nevertheless, the Telugu star had the nicest things to say about the Aavesham actor. “Fahadh Faasil has rocked the show in Pushpa 2. He would make every Keralite proud.”
Pushpa 2 cast and crew
Apart from Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil, Pushpa 2: The Rule will also feature Rashmika Mandanna, Anasuya Bhardwaj, Sunil, and Rao Ramesh reprising their roles from the original. The controversy around the film’s music refuses to die down as the speculations about different composers being roped in to take care of the background score continues to make the rounds. While Devi Sri Prasad, who has composed the songs for the film, expressed his displeasure about the complaints from producers, Mythri Movie Makers, there has been no official confirmation about the new composers.
Pushpa 2 Budget and expectations
The film, which is billed as one of the most expensive Indian films, is aiming at a blockbuster opening, which might propel Allu Arjun into the biggest league in Indian cinema, the Rs 1000 crore club.
Pushpa 2 Release Date
Pushpa 2: The Rule is expected to hit the screens on December 5, and it will be released in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi.
