Google has been steadily adding new features to Gemini, its popular AI chatbot. Now, the tech giant is bringing Opal, a tool that lets users build AI-powered mini apps to the web version of the AI chatbot. Initially announced as part of Google Labs back in July, the tech giant says Opal lets users “build and share powerful AI mini apps that chain together prompts, models, and tools – all using simple natural language and visual editing.”

To use Opal on the web version of Gemini, simply press on the hamburger menu from the top left and click on Gems. Here, you will see a list of pre-made Gems, which are basically mini-apps made by Opal. You can either use one of these presets, use the Remix option or head over to the Advanced Editor to create one from scratch.
