Shark Tank India 4: Fae Beauty founder, who lost Rs 80 lakh in first year, Rs 2.5 cr in second year, impresses Anupam Mittal

The founder of Fae Beauty asks for a bold Rs 1 crore for 1% equity after losing Rs 80 lakh in the first year and Rs 2.5 crore in the second year.

Shark Tank India is all set to return with its fourth season on January 6. This year too several entrepreneurs will pitch their business to the ‘sharks’ with an aim to secure investment. Among the many entrepreneurs, the season will witness a pitch by the founder of Fae Beauty, Karishma Kewalramani, who will ask Rs 1 crore for 1% equity in her business despite her company suffering massive losses.

The makers of the show shared a teaser giving a glimpse of Karishma pitching her business to the ‘sharks’. In the teaser, she can be heard saying, “Fae Beauty… free and equal beauty.” The next frame shows Piyush Bansal say, “I am curious to know your sales.” She quickly replies, “First year, we earned Rs 30 lakh at a loss of Rs 80 lakh. After this, we earned Rs 3.3 crore at a loss of Rs 2.5 crore.” Hearing the losses, Namita Thapar quickly asks, “How will you compete in terms of scale?” Karishma confidently replies, “I will dilute myself, but I will keep my company going. It is going to work.” Anupam Mittal salutes as he hears this.
