Glenn Morshower joins ‘Supergirl’ cast

Actor Glenn Morshower is joining the CBS series "Supergirl" and will play the cunning military leader General Sam Lane.

Actor Glenn Morshower is joining the CBS series “Supergirl” and will play the cunning military leader General Sam Lane.

The father of Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan-Tatum) will be arriving in National City to set Supergirl on a very dangerous government mission, reported The Wrap.

Morshower recently played General Jacobs in Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD”, and has also prominently appeared in “24”, “The West Wing” and the “Transformers” film series.

Earlier, “Supergirl” cast Iddo Goldberg as the megalomaniacal scientist TO Morrow and his ultra-powerful android weapon Red Tornado.

“Supergirl” premieres on CBS on October 26.
