Social activist Anna Hazare to promote his biopic on The Kapil Sharma Show, see pics

The veteran Gandhian came into limelight in 2011 when he began a hunger strike demanding the government should enact a stringent anti-corruption law, The Lokpal Bill, to deal with corruption in the nation. And as much as his activism attracted global attention, so did it became the plot of a biopic.

Anna Hazare looks on, as actors Sunil Grover and Kiku Sharda perform.

Now Anna himself is promoting the film. Anna: Kisan Baburao Hazare also stars Tanisha Mukherjee as a young journalist researching on Anna’s social-political life. While Sony channel had confirmed his arrival on the show hosted by comedian Kapil Sharma, we even got hold of some pictures straight from the sets.

This is the first time Anna Hazare will be coming on any such television show. It is hosted by Kapil Sharma.

Kapil Sharma said this was one of the most memorable episodes he shot.

Anna has been shot in real locations of Anna’s native village Ralegan-Siddhi, apart from Mumbai, New Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and Rajasthan. The 130-minute long film has been directed by Shashank Udapurkar, who is also playing the lead part of Anna. The film also stars Rajit Kapoor, Sharat Saxena and Govind Namdeo in prominent roles.

Anna: Kisan Baburao Hazare will be dubbed in English and other regional languages and will release on October 14.
