Parvathy reveals why she stood with Nayanthara in legal battle with Dhanush: ‘I know what it feels like to be unsupported’
Parvathy recently shared she supported Nayanthara because she saw "truth" in her open letter against Dhanush.

Parvathy Thiruvothu was among the first stars to come out in support of Nayanthara after she wrote an open letter against Dhanush on her Instagram handle a few days ago. Nayanthara had accused Dhanush of keeping a personal grudge against her and her husband Vignesh Shivan and not giving a No Objection Certificate to use songs from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in the Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale. Days later, Parvathy shared why she came out in support of the ‘Lady Superstar’.
In an interview with Manorama News, the actress shared that a self-made actress like Nayanthara will never make random allegations against anybody.
Parvathy said, “This wasn’t a long process. I didn’t need extra time to take a stand and offer my support. When I saw the post, I immediately felt the urge to share it. Nayanthara, a self-made woman, a Lady Superstar, someone who built her career on her own, had to write such an open letter. She’s not someone who speaks without purpose; we all know her.”
She added, “She wrote about her experiences in three pages, and that’s why it’s called an open letter. That’s when I felt the need to support her. This is a real issue. All those supporting Nayanthara believe the truth in her letter. At some point, we will all see ourselves in others. This is the reason too.”
Parvathy revealed another important reason for taking a stand for Nayanthara. She said, “I know what it feels like to be unsupported. I have gone through it. I also know how much support can change a person. Thinking in that way, I will always stand for those people, especially if they are women.”
Just a few days before the release of her Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale, Nayanthara shared a three-page long letter, slamming Dhanush for sending them a legal notice and demanding Rs 10 crore for using a three-second-long BTS video from the 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.
Dhanush is yet to react to the controversy. Both Nayanthara and Dhanush were recently seen attending a wedding a few days after their public spat.
