Lokesh Kanagaraj assures Trisha’s character is safe in Vijay’s Leo: ‘Nothing will happen to her’

Lokesh Kanagaraj also revealed that audio launch of the film will be held in September.

Questions about Vijay’s Leo keep following director Lokesh Kanagaraj wherever he goes. Especially, the one ‘Whether Leo is a part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe?’ is posed to him at all his public appearances. As he was again asked the question at a recent event in Chennai, Lokesh said everything will be clear in three months. “There will be nothing else to tell if everything is said now,” he told the fans. However, the director spilt some beans about Trisha’s character in Leo.

A fan of Trisha asked Lokesh not to harm Trisha’s character in the film, and Lokesh smiled, “Nothing will happen to her. Don’t worry.” The concern of the fan is understandable as Lokesh is known for killing his characters in a gruesome manner. Gayathri Amar (Gayathrie) in Vikram faced a similar fate, where she was beheaded by Sandanam (Vijay Sethupathi). Looks like Trisha’s character won’t be meeting a gruesome end in Leo.

Lokesh also revealed that the audio launch of Leo will happen in September. When asked if the event will happen in Madurai, he said, “We have just completed the film. Nothing has been decided yet.” He was also asked if he is ready to team up with Vijay again for a third time, and Lokesh said, “For sure. He just has to give a sign, I will.”

Lokesh and Vijay earlier teamed up for Master, which turned out to be a blockbuster hit. His fourth film, Vikram, also became one of the top five grossers in Tamil cinema. So, all eyes are on Lokesh to see what he achieves with Leo.

Other than Vijay and Trisha, Leo also marks the Tamil debut of Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt. Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Anurag Kashyap, and Priya Anandh are other actors in Leo, which has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film will be released on October 19.
