Seven Screen Studio and Lokesh Kanagaraj have been treating Vijay fans to one update after another. They have not given the fans a chance to ask for updates as there have been an overwhelming amount of promos–there was even a teaser to a song that’s releasing on June 22. Now, exactly at midnight, the makers have unveiled the first look poster of Leo as a treat for Vijay’s fans.

Vijay is seen bashing up someone with a sledgehammer in the poster. Blood and teeth fly in the air as Vijay looks at his victim furiously after landing the blow. It is peculiar to see a hyena instead of a lion in the poster and Lokesh would have his reason to do so. By now, everyone knows the film is set in Kashmir, which is evident from the background of the poster too.

Here’s the poster:

In a matter of few hours, the first song of the film “Naa Ready” will also be unveiled. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the song is sung by Vijay himself.

There have been many speculations about Leo including the rumour that it is part of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s cinematic universe comprising Kamal Haasan’s Vikram and Karthi’s Kaithi. It is also rumoured that Leo is a remake of the Hollywood film, A History of Violence, directed by David Cronenberg. The first promo of the movie hinted that Vijay will be playing a character with two shades. Montages of him making chocolate are juxtaposed with clips of him making a sword. It does seem like the American film, which is about a restaurant owner with a past.

All such mystery surrounding the film will be unraveled on October 19, when Leo hits screens. Other than Vijay, the movie also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Mysskin, and Gautham Menon among others.
