Spotify Wrapped 2025: It’s time to take out your phones and dive back into the musical journey you have been on for this past year. Streaming giant Spotify just released their Wrapped list for 2025, and while there are some constant stalwarts still at the top, there are some underdogs who have emerged through. While the individual list studies your personal likes and dislikes, the streaming service also analyses the trends of the entire nation in order to crown the top people in this year’s music.

The first and probably the most important list is Top Artist of the Year. The top spot went to Arijit Singh for the 7th consecutive time, with Pritam and Shreya Ghoshal hanging on to the second and third spot, respectively. The rest of the pack included AR Rahman, Anirudh Ravichander, Sachin-Jigar, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Tanishk Bagchi, and Masoom Sharma.

The top song in the country was ‘Raanjhan’ by Sachet-Parampara, from the Kriti Sanon starrer Do Patti, which was played over 246 million times. The title track of Saiyaara, performed by Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nizami, bagged the bronze medal, as another one of Faheem’s songs, ‘Ishq’, sat at the fifth spot. Arijit’s ‘Apna Bana Le’ and Rahman’s ‘Tere Bina’ also made the top 10.

The top albums list had some surprises, as it featured several movies which were released many years ago, some more than a decade before. The first spot was no surprise, as it went to the musical hit of the year, Saiyaara. The second position incidentally went to Aashiqui 2, which was seen as a spiritual prequel for Saiyaara, at least by the fans. Another 12-year-old film in the top 10 was Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

Albums like Faheem’s Lost and Found, and Karan Aujla’s P-Pop Culture also made it into the top 10. The former’s entry into this list hints at the fact that independent music is now cracking into the stratosphere of popular music. In other news, Raj Shamani topped the podcast list of the country, with the Ranveer Allahbadia show grabbing the fourth and fifth spots, for Hindi and English, respectively.
