Producer Dinesh Vijan to co-direct with Homi Adajania

In fact, his company has also bought the rights of the Hollywood hit — The Fault With Our Stars with Star Fox Studios. The writing on the adaptation has started and should be complete very soon.

“We are really interested to bring Deepika on-board as she is an in- house actor for me, but until we finish scripting we cannot start the casting,” explains Vijan who is presently caught up with the release of the Varun Dhawan starrer ‘Badlapur’.

The producer, who has never followed formula, making un- conventional films like Kal Aaj Aur Kal, Cocktail, Go Goa Gone etc., says that though Badlapur started off as a niche film, it has got a wider response than he imagined! “The audience has changed and the response to the trailer and music has been heartening. I wanted to keep Badlapur as an unadulterated Sriram film and it has turned out that way.” Vijan also added he will be making the film with Saif Ali Khan for sure — a project which is still in the scripting stage and will be produced under Illuminati Films.

“The intention of Illuminati is to put a project in which Saif will be acting and I producing it. I have also signed director Kunal Deshmukh, who is presently working on a script and also Saket Chaudhary, who has just finished writing a script,” stated Vijan.
