That Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Yudh hasn’t caught the audience’s fancy is well-known by now (given the poor ratings that it has got). And like many other TV audience, even actor Juhi Chawla, who watched one episode of the series, didn’t like Bachchan’s character in it.
While many others may shy away from talking about it, Juhi was quite upfront with her opinion when she said she likes the enthusiastic, dapper-looking Bachchan on the small screen. “I just watched one episode, which also telecast ads of Kaun Banega Crorepati during the commercial breaks. I felt, that I would rather watch the game show as Amitji looks dapper in that, while I just couldn’t connect with his character in Yudh,” remarked Juhi.
The actress further remarked that big Bollywood stars don’t work on small screen because the audience are used to seeing most of them in larger-than-life avatars. “One has to be really careful before taking up a role on TV,” she cautions.
