Himanshoo to play Sid Mallya

His stint as a cop in Encounter and recently in Yeh Hai Aashiqui may not have got him much attention, but now Himanshoo A Malhotra is all set to make a mark on the small screen. The actor shall be playing a character in Airlines.
His role, Rohan Mafatlal, is interestingly modelled on Siddharth Mallya. He says, “It’s a very interesting role of a charming, rich, charismatic, flamboyant guy, pretty much based on the lines of Siddharth Mallaya.” Quiz him more about his character being inspired by Mallya and he quips, “Oh that’s a great opportunity! I’ll get to wear fantastic clothes, watches and shoes. I am playing a very stylish guy. It’s a larger than life character and I feel it’s good for me.”
The character will add to the ongoing story, as Rohan becomes a distraction for the romantic chemistry developing between the two lead actors, Tulip Joshi and Yudi.
Himanshoo is also excited to be shooting in Delhi, which is his hometown. “I took a break of close to six months to be with my mom after my dad’s demise. Now, that the show is being shot in Delhi, it’s an added advantage as I will be close to my mom,” he remarks.
