Bipasha Basu wrapped up the shooting of Alone in Mumbai last month. During the 10-odd day shooting schedule, the climax was shot at the suburban Film City Studios. “The most interesting part was that the last shot I canned is also the last frame in the movie,” said Bhushan Patel, the director of the film.
Before the Mumbai schedule, the unit had headed to Kerala as the film is based there. Several scenes and two songs were shot over a 16-day schedule. The locations included the beautiful backwaters of the state and Vagamon, a hill-station located in the Kottayam district.
The edit is over, according to Patel, and presently the VFX of the film is being worked on. Alone is an adaptation of a Thai horror film with the same name and has Basu playing conjoined twins. Slated to release on January 16, 2015, the film will have television actor Karan Singh Grover making his film debut.
