Ronnie Lahri, of Rising Sun Films and Shoojit Sircar’s partner who is presently busy with the post-production of the Amitabh Bachchan, Irrfan and Deepika Padukone starrer Piku, clarified that 1911 is not stalled.
The film which is based on the late Indian footballer Sibdas Bhaduri who captained India’s historic win in the 1911 Mohun Bagan competition and will have John Abraham playing the protagonist, will take off in duecourse.
“Everyone, including Shoojit is busy with the post-production of Piku. 1911 is set in 1910, requires at least 5-6 months of pre-prodction, a few more months for VFX and needs elaborate planning. Work will start on the film once Piku releases in May,” said Lahri.
